The decorative patterns are then drawn and painted entirely by hand using fine brushes, with each drawer receiving its own motif, applied freehand rather than stenciled, so the designs flow naturally with the wood. After the artwork is completed, the piece is gently finished to protect both the paint and the wood without masking texture or detail and the brass knobs are fitted to complete the chest, resulting in a functional storage piece that clearly reflects the time, skill and individuality of handmade craftsmanship.
