This Kaitlin Honeycomb Bone Inlay Tallboy Dresser carries a story as unique as its design. Kaitlin, one of our clients, initially commissioned two custom dressers but later returned with a request for a single, taller piece - something elegant yet striking, crafted precisely to fit her space.
We embraced the challenge and created this bespoke design, which has since become one of our proudest achievements. Standing as the tallest bone inlay dresser we have ever made, it is a true reflection of craftsmanship, patience and collaboration. In her honor, we named it the Kaitlin Dresser.
The honeycomb floral pattern, a symbol of balance and harmony, is entirely handcrafted from ethically sourced bone and delicately set into a warm honey-yellow resin base. The design combines geometric precision with floral softness, resulting in a look that feels both classic and contemporary. Each motif is hand-carved, shaped, and inlaid by skilled artisans, a process that takes nearly 4-5 weeks from start to finish - from cutting the inlay pieces to polishing the final surface.

The production of inlay furniture is a three-step process and requires up to a month to create. First, the fragments of bone are shaped delicately. Then these intricate shapes are affixed onto the timber frame in a detailed pattern. After this, the resin is filled around the bone shapes to craft the background. The bone pieces are offset by the striking color of the resin to create an exotic looking oriental piece of furniture.
